Happy June!

I can't believe it's June already! And it has been WAY too long since I've blogged. We just spent a lovely weekend in Cincinnati visiting our cousins...Ryan, Wendy, Emily and Will; and Darin and Bethany joined us. It was a great mini-vacation. Because of the intense heat, we drove the Honda down, and Jackson did really well in the car. We had a few breakdowns, but overall I was so proud of him, and thankful. The other great thing was that Wendy let us use Will's crib, so Jackson slept great! Unfortunately, he still woke me up at 6am every morning. Oh well.

We had a very busy weekend, filled with swimming in the "Blue Ash Kiddie Pool," as Jackson liked to call it:

a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo (which only lasted an hour due to a fussy 2-year old--we basically saw the carousel, the zoo train, and the petting zoo):

a great church service; good food (especially Wendy's homemade salsa); a Memorial Day parade where we got to watch Emily carry the flag for American Heritage Girls:

lots of playing outside (J was ready to go as soon as he woke up):

and even a trip to the mall on two separate occasions--one with the girls to get pedicures, and one with just JW and I--he got a cool watch and I bought two new maternity tops at H&M; I love that store!

Here are some funny things that Jackson did and said this weekend:

--he fell down outside and scraped his knee, complete with blood, and he immediately started crying and saying, "You're okay, you're okay" because that's what I normally say to him if he falls down, and he confuses "I" and "you"

--we were outside on Memorial Day, and it was supposed to rain (had sprinkled a little bit earlier, in fact), and Jackson randomly started saying "Rain, rain, go away, come again another day, little Jackson wants to play"--so he really does listen when I read him Mother Goose!

--he was in love with Baby Will, and he really liked to push him in his little bouncy swing; we found his cars sitting in Will's seat with him (so Jackson IS starting to share); and when Will was crying because he was hungry, J even offered him his sippy cup of milk

It was so nice to have some fun time with Jackson and the family. I'm really tired (and should be sleeping instead of writing this blog), but it was still great.

BTW, I'm 33 weeks, only 7 more to go!
